Camden's Comfort Project
Every day, thousands of babies are born prematurely and spend their first days, weeks, or months within a neonatal unit. Although many babies are able to go home with their parents, some babies gain their angel wings like our son, Camden. In both situations, parents are in great need of strength and support.
Comfort and a cozy blanket for every baby
Providing comfort and a cozy blanket to sick babies is the mission of Camden's Comfort Project.
Neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) accept donated baby blankets, and the comfort they provide to babies and their families is priceless. Thank you for visiting our site and helping us make a BIG difference in the lives of the LITTLE.
What are the blankets used for?
The blankets are offered as a gift of comfort to the families of sick and premature babies.
A nursery in the NICU
Blankets are often placed in the baby's crib (called an "isolette" in the NICU), which makes the sterile hospital environment feel more like a nursery. Clinicians also use them to cover isolettes, giving a cozy space and some shade for nap time.
Holding and first photos
The blankets comfort parents when holding their newborns or taking baby's first photos. Families bringing their babies home can keep the blanket as a gift, or donate it back to the NICU to be washed and reused.
Comfort in goodbye
Bereaved parents often don't have time to go home to get a special blanket when they're saying goodbye to their son or daughter. A donated blanket at the hospital can mean so much in the moment, and can provide comfort after their baby has passed.
No sewing required
Our dual-sided fleece baby blankets are the same size as Camden's special blanket. They're easy and fun to make together, whether with kids, coworkers, or friends.
